A pedestrian crossing Shelburne Road at the intersection with Fayette Street was killed Monday evening when they were struck by a northbound vehicle.

Police said first responders treated Chriss Zuckerman, 59, of Burlington, before she was transported to UVM Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.

The driver, Kristina Sievert, 29, of Burlington, was also taken to the hospital and screened for drug or alcohol use. Police said the investigation ongoing and no other information was available.
