Pharmacist Tech Accused of Prescription Fraud, Embezzlement

A pharmacist technician at a Rite Aid Pharmacy in South Burlington is accused of prescription fraud and embezzlement.

Police say Holly Russin, 33, of Hinesburg, Vt., diverted and stole nine types of both regulated and unregulated prescription drugs over the course of three months.

Russin is accused of stealing 600 tablets . Police say the medications and regulated drugs stolen include Tramadol, Hydrocodone, and Diazepam.

Russin was cited for numerous counts of prescription fraud and embezzlement. She is due in court in March.
