Plattsburgh residents arrested for alleged meth production

James Harris and Morisa Cruz were arrested Saturday for allegedly operating a meth lab in Plattsburgh.

Two residents of a Plattsburgh apartment building were arrested Saturday and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

Police say they received a tip Friday that James Harris, 28, and Morisa Cruz, 32, were operating a “one pot” meth lab inside an apartment unit at 14 Brinkerhoff St.

Police searched the residence and found evidence of meth production. The New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team assisted in the recovery of hazardous materials related to illegal operation.

Cruz and Harris were each arraigned on charges of manufacturing methamphetamine and criminal possession of precursors of methamphetamine, both felonies, as well as criminal possession of meth manufacturing materials.

They were both jailed for lack of bail.
