The Burlington Police Department is investigating a possible bias incident after police say a brick was thrown through a window at the Vermont Workers’ Center.
The Vermont Workers’ Center, located on North Winooski Avenue, serves as the office space for the local migrant justice movement, the United Electrical Workers, and has a sign in the window supporting the #BlackLivesMatter movement.
Police say they took photos and reviewed survillance footage that didn’t show a possible suspect.
There were no known threats made to the center or its employees prior to the incident.
Members of the Vermont Workers’ Center held a community gathering to denounce the incident.
A detective is following the case and following up on any leads.
