A 64-year old Massachusetts man drowned Saturday night at a Charlotte marina, according to police.
Police say David Clement, of Pittsfield, MA, was returning to his slip at Point Bay Marina on Thompson’s Point Road in Charlotte, Vt. when he fell into the water and drowned.
Police were called at around 8pm after someone found his abandoned boat idling near the docks.
Clement was found 30 feet from shore nearby.
The investigation is ongoing. Police ask anyone with information or who was in contact with Clement on Saturday to call Vermont State Police.
