Police: Man and woman attacked at St. Johnsbury gas station

ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt.- Vermont State Police arrested two people after an assault and stabbing at a gas station Saturday morning.

Officers found Alex Brown, 31, of St. Johnsbury with a stab wound on his arm after being being called to the Jiffy Mart on Memorial Drive at about 9:30 a.m. Police also determined Megan Bartlett, 32, of St. Johnsbury has been assaulted prior to the stabbing.

Police later identified Jason Birch, 36, of Lyndonville as a suspect. He was arrested at his home and is facing a charge of aggravated assault. Birch is being held on $7,500 bail.

Teesha Miles, 25, of Lyndonville, was also arrested and is facing two counts of simple assault.

Both will be in a Caledonia courtroom Monday.
