Brett Boucher, 55, arrested in connection with pharmacy robberies

A 55-year old man is in custody in connection to two pharmacy robberies in the Queen City in the last two days, according to Burlington police.

Police say officers were called to Kinney Drug Store on Shelburne Road in Burlington Saturday morning after reports of a robbery.

The suspect was described very similarly to the robbery suspect at Lakeside Pharmacy Friday evening.

The suspect did not display a weapon but threatened that he had a weapon and would use it if his orders were not followed.

He left with an undisclosed amount of money and prescription pills.

Police say, Brett Boucher was found hiding nearby on Shelburne Road with items believed to have been stolen during the robbery.

Boucher matched the description of the person suspected of both robberies and was arrested.

He was lodged at Chittenden County Correctional Facility on an outstanding warrant as well as $25,000 bail.
