St. Johnsbury, Vt. - Police say a student at St. Johnsbury Academy was taken to the hospital after passing out while playing a dangerous game called the “blackout game”.
Police say the “blackout game” is when someone takes deep rapid breaths for a period of time and another person applies pressure on neck causing the person to pass out.
Police say the incident happened just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday when students were playing the game.
Authorities say this is a game being played in the teen community. Police say students are also video recording themselves playing.
Police say the male student that passed out fell to the floor, cut his chin and broke some teeth.
