Police: Suspect facing arson and murder charges after Townshend fire investigation

Authorities say an arrest warrant has been obtained for a Springfield, Massachusetts man believed to have been connected to a fire that happened last Friday in Townshend.

Vermont State Police say Justin Orwat, 46, is facing charges of aggravated murder and arson after two people were found dead following a house fire on Shirley Circle.

Police say the people in home were identified as Steven Lovely,43, and Amanda Sanderson, 35. According to police Lovely and Sanderson were both found with gunshots.

A media release states that Tami Orwat told police that she and Justin Orwat were at the home on Shirley Circle with Lovely and Sanderson on Thursday night.

Tami Orwat told police that Justin Orwat and Steven Lovely had a dispute on Friday morning. Justin Orwat then allgedly shot the couple and started the fire.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, Justin Orwat is currently in jail in Massachusetts on other charges.
