Ticonderoga Police have issued a warning to its residents about counterfeit money being used in the area.
According to police, the fake money has been involved in several cases in the past year.
Authorities say the counterfeit money is in the form of $100 bills, with red stamps on the left side and double-dotted lines in the right corner.
Police say businesses are encouraged to use counterfeit pens to see if the money used at their stores is real.
Anyone who has information about the bills or sees the fake money is asked to contact Ticonderoga Police at (518) 585-3456.
