COLCHESTER, Vt. - A popular Italian restaurant in Colchester has announced on social media that it has closed its doors after 25 years.
In a Facebook post Friday afternoon, Junior’s Italian owner Franke Salese Jr. said his location at 85 South Park Drive in Colchester has closed immediately.
“After 25 years serving our beloved customers and community, this decision was not an easy one. We have been working extremely hard over the past few years to make day-to-day adjustments and financial investments to improve our operations and maintain a financially sustainable business, however, our efforts were ultimately not enough,” Salese Jr. wrote on Facebook.
Salese said Junior’s Stowe and Junior’s Downtown would remain open.
“From the bottom of my heart I want to thank all of our employees, friends, and family for your loyalty and support over the years. Junior’s was built 25 years ago on the values of family, hard work, love for community, and loyal customers who understand the importance of investing into local business,” he wrote.
