RedBirds Swept in Doubleheader by Last Place Islanders

The Plattsburgh RedBirds dropped their second and third consecutive games against the Puerto Rico Islanders with a pair of 5-1, seven-inning defeats Sunday afternoon at Chip Cummings Field.

With the losses on Sunday, Plattsburgh saw it’s 3.5 game lead atop the EPBL shrink to only a 2 game advantage over second place Sullivan.

The RedBirds aim at returning to their winning ways Monday at 4:30 with Plattsburgh takes on Puerto Rico in game four of a six game series.
