The Richmond Police Chief still recovering from a heart attack sustained on duty last year was in a serious crash today, while trying to stop a speeding car.
The good news, state troopers say Alan Buck was not hurt.
The bad news, his cruiser has extensive front end damage.
Police say Chief Buck was attempting to stop the car at Barber Farm Road in Jericho, when he lost control, and slid off the road.
Buck told Local 22 News he returned to the department part time last week.
