Police say a St. Albans man was arrested Wednesday night, following a robbery of a Colchester convenience store.
Police responded to Sunny Hollow Quick Stop close to 7:30 Wednesday evening.
The store clerk told officers a while male fled on foot after taking money from the register. The clerk put up a fight, and received minor injuries.
Police say the suspect, Joshua Ferraro, 33, lost a shoe as he fled into a wooded area.
A Vermont State Trooper and K9 were called to the scene to assist Colchester Police. Ferraro was found about a mile into the woods and was taken into custody.
Ferraro was checked at the scene for minor injuries and cold exposure. Money was recovered.
He will appear in Vermont Superior Court, Chittenden Criminal Division in Burlington Thursday on Assault and Robbery charges.
Colchester Police say the incident remains under investigation.
