Former “Sex and the City” star Cynthia Nixon announced her candidacy for New York Governor on Monday afternoon.
The actress shared it in a short tweet, saying:
@CynthiaNixon: I love New York, and today I’m announcing my candidacy for governor. Join us: http://bit.ly/gocynthia
Nixon also updated her Twitter bio to say she’s a “progressive advocate who is running for governor to fight for a better, more fair New York.”
Nixon was known for her role as Miranda Hobbes on the longtime HBO series, “Sex and the City.”
