Spirit Airlines is expanding its service in Plattsburgh, New York.
According to a press release, Spirit Airline officials said they would be adding daily service from Plattsburgh to Orlando, Florida.
Plattsburgh’s Chamber of Commerce said it’s on board with the newly added service.
“Spirit has been a great partner in the continued development of Plattsburgh International, and this additional daily service demonstrates real confidence in the power and future of this bi-national market, with three of the five new Orlando commitments being from major U.S. metropolitan cities,” states Garry Douglas, President of the North Country Chamber of Commerce.
“Our marketing team is already working on the promotion of this exciting new service both in the North Country and in Canada, and we know it will add to Plattsburgh’s continued growth and success,” added Douglas.
According to the airline’s website, Spirit currently offers flights 3 days a week to Orlando from Plattsburgh International Airport.
The expanded service will start on November 17.
