St. Albans man in critical condition following Fairfax wrong way crash


According to Vermont State Police, a 65-year-old St. Albans man is in critical condition following a wrong way car crash around 4:45 Thursday evening.

VSP said the crash occurred near Lapierre Road in Fairfax. Michael Farrington, 65, was traveling north in the southbound lane hitting another vehicle head on.

Police said they used the jaws of life to get Farrington out of his car. He was airlifted to UVM Medical Center where he remains in critical condition.

The other driver was uninjured.

The crash is under investigation.
