St. Albans Police Search for Man Who Fled Serious Car Crash

Police in St. Albans are looking for a man who left the scene of a serious car crash Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called out to Fairfield Road near Bellevue Carriage Road in the town of St. Albans shortly after 1:00 p.m..

When they arrived they found an unconscious woman not breathing who was pinned inside a vehicle that crashed.


She was removed from the vehicle and revived. But the driver of the car fled the scene.

Police are looking for 35-year-old Charles “Chuck” Bonyea of St. Albans. Police say he was driving too fast
for conditions.

Bonyea’s license was criminally suspended due to a prior DUI conviction in 2015. There’s no word on the condition of the victim.
