Stefanik tours water farm

News

Representative Elise Stefanik ended her week-long district tour today standing alongside Plattsburgh Town Supervisor Michael Cashman at the Water Tank Farm.

The centralized area of tanks distributes millions of gallons of water that serves over 5,000 customers throughout the region.

They celebrated the $500,000 grant received through the Northern Border Regional Commission.

The money awarded will help with the installation of two 12-inch water production wells and construction of a new 2 million gallon tank.

“Congresswoman Stefanik has been…critical in helping us secure the $500,000 grant. She and I have had a number of one-on-one meetings talking about the infrastructure needs of the town of Plattsburgh, both of us have been making that a priority to partner in a…you know…bi-partisan way to move this forward,” said Cashman.

Elise Stefanik says this project is one example of a “win” for the district and a “win” for infrastructure.
