Target to Cut Additives from Kids’ Foods, Adds More Organic Food

Video News

Packing a lunch full of healthy or organic food could get easier if you shop at Target.

The retailer announced it will cut artificial flavors, preservatives, sweeteners, colors, artificial trans fats, and high fructose corn syrup from its brands of kids’ food. Target says 75 percent of its brand’s children’s snacks are additive-free already.

Last year, in an effort to clean up the shop’s food, Target set a goal to increase organic food offerings by 25 percent by 2017.  The company surpassed that mark with a 139 percent increase.

There’s a Target store at 60 Smithfield Blvd, Plattsburgh, NY.
