Thousands of Snow Geese can be Found at Dead Creek Wildlife Management Area

Vermont Fish & Wildlife says the snow geese have arrived at the Dead Creek Wildlife Management area in Addison.

Wildlife officials say there are at least 4,000 birds there right now with more expected to come in the next few days.

According to the Vermont Fish & Wildlife website, the geese stop by Dead Creek to rest and refuel during their 5,000 mile flight from Arctic tundra to the American South.

Officials say the best time see the geese is just after sunrise or just before sunset.
