Two women walk out of Burlington International Airport, carrying life size cut-out of Leunig’s owner

A bizarre theft out of Burlington International Airport has police asking for the community’s help.

Burlington Police say they received a complaint from administration at the airport of a theft of an advertisement sign from the baggage claim area.

Based on surveillance video footage, it was discovered two white females, approximately 21 years of age, removed a human size cardboard cutout of the owner of Leunigs Bistro. 

Police say this happened on March 23, 2018, around 11:30 p.m.

Based on video surveillance, police say the two females had just arrived to the airport from an inbound Delta flight.

In the video, the women proceeded to the baggage claim area of the airport where they removed the display, and walked out of the airport carrying it.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the two females and having the property returned to the airport.
