Green products giant, Seventh Generation, has been sold to Unilever. The Burlington-based company is known for its environmentally-friendly cleaning and personal products.
Unilever is a global company, which owns hundreds of brands, including Ben and Jerry’s.
Seventh Generation made just over 200 million in net sales last year.
“We now have a new parent which is exciting, a company that really believes in everything we stand for, caring for people and caring for the planet, and we are going to be able to do that on a much bigger and broader scale with more positive impact,” says Seventh Generation CEO John Replogle.
Seventh Generation is not disclosing the price of the sale. The company will be keeping it’s base in Burlington.
