A body has been recovered from the cliff’s edge on Mt. Pisgah in Westmore, according to Vermont State Police.
It happened at 4:30 Friday afternoon.
The body was found there Monday. Recovery crews had been planning the mission all week. The recovery was scheduled to take place Saturday.
Crews moved the body to Long Pond Road in the town of Westmore.
“The family of the lost person has been notified and operations will culminate this evening,” according to the press release.
The body will be transferred to the Medical Examiner’s Office for examination and identification.
Vermont State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations is investigating the death.
While the body has not been publicly identified, police were in touch this week with the family of Tyler Robinson.
The 23-year old, from Orleans Village in the town of Barton, went missing last Friday.
Capt. Robert Cushing told reporters Friday that he was not aware of any other missing person cases.
Police say there were no reported injuries in the recovery.
