Regions across New York State will be splitting eight million dollars to fix up homes.
According to a media release, New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo announced on Tuesday that the funds will help with constructing and rehabbing nearly 300 income-eligible homes.
“We are committed to helping all New Yorkers achieve and preserve the American Dream of home ownership, and this funding will build and improve affordable owner-occupied housing in every corner of the state,” Governor Cuomo said.
“This program supports this administration’s efforts to build stronger, more resilient communities and helps to create a stronger, fairer and more affordable New York for all,” added Cuomo.
According to a media release, $350, 000 will go to the North Country Affordable Housing, Inc, and $400,000 was given to the Housing Assistance Program of Essex County.
