This Saturday is Green Up Day in Vermont!
More Than 20 thousand Vermonters will take part in Green Up Day.
The 46th annual event takes place in every town and city encouraging people to keep the state looking beautiful.
Last year over 200 tons of trash was removed and 5,000 tires were collected on nearly 13,000 miles of Vermont roadways.
But if you see something that’s looks dangerous and not trash, don’t pick it up.
Melinda Scott of Green Up Vermont says : “We are telling people if you see anything that looks suspicious, like needles don’t touch them.”
If you do come across something suspicious call the non-emergency number for your local police and report it.
Over 50 thousand trash bags will be given out.
