Vermont State Police have released more information about what could have caused a fire at an iconic dairy farm in Waterbury Sunday night.

Investigators say the scope of the cause was narrowed down to a few electrical items inside the milk house at Wallace Farm.

However, an exact cause may never be known due to the severe nature of the fire.

State Police say the property at Wallace Farm is considered to be a total loss.

While there were no reported human deaths or injuries, all of the cows in the barn died in the fire.

A fundraising page has been started to help the Wallace family.

In just days, over $46,000 has been donated.
