Vermont State Police: Thieves Steal $5,000 Worth of Maple Syrup

Vermont State Police are looking for information into a burglary where the suspects stole around $5,000 worth of maple syrup.

According to police, the Mom and Pop’s Farm Stand in Rochester on Brandon Mountain Road was broken into sometime on Wednesday or Thursday.

Officials say the suspects broke the locks on the barn where the syrup is stored. 

The media release says a chainsaw and jewelry were also reported missing. 

Investigators are looking to match the tire tracks that were found at the scene.
