UVM Children’s Hospital Receives Hundreds of Toys

BURLINGTON, Vt.- Hundreds of toys provided for happy faces at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

National electrics supplier, Graybar held the drive for the hospital’s children’s ward.

This is the second time the company’s Williston branch led the drive and collected toys throughout the month of May. The hospital says they’ll use the donations throughout the year for special occasions.

“The toys that we give out to these kids, whether it be for them use in the hospital or whether it be for a special treat, for them to take home with them, it puts a smile on their face and it gives them something positive out of an experience that may be hard or traumatic for them,” said UVM Child Life Specialist Sierra Scheller.

“Anything we can do to help them is fantastic. So I’m sure all the kids will love to get their hands in there and play around with some new stuff, and I’m sure it’ll do well,” said Graybar’s Williston Branch Manager, Joe Salas.

Graybar says they’re looking forward to contributing to the hospital again next year.
