A Fremont, California, police officer is being called a hero after pulling a man from his burning vehicle.
Officer Jason Trzewieczynski had only minutes to react and tried to extinguish the flames, but time was running out.
“When I realized that wasn’t working, then all bets are off and you just have to drag him out anyway you could,” Trzewieczynski said.
The officer cleared a path and pulled the man away from the wreckage. Moments later, the vehicle burst into flames. He and the driver were not hurt.
For Officer Trzewieczynski, it was just another day at the office. “There’s nothing special about what I did,” he said. “Any one of my partners would’ve done the exact same thing.”
