Vermont State Police say a man is in critical condition at University of Vermont Medical Center after an ATV rollover crash in Franklin.

Officials say they were called to a single-car crash just after 7 p.m. Tuesday on Dewing Road.

Police say rescue personnel advised the man, identified as Robert Hemond, 47, sustained severe trauma to his head.  Authorities say he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

An investigation into the crash is still on-going, but police say initial evidence suggests Hemond lost control of his ATV, causing it to rollover.
