VSP: Mans Walks Into Home, Steals Cat

Troy Vermont Cat Burglar

Vermont State Police say a cat was stolen from an occupied residence in Troy Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened at around 5:45 p.m.

According to police, an older man entered a home on Route 105 east and told a resident he was looking for a cat named Mason. He then is accused of taking the cat from the home.

The cat is described as being a darker “tiger cat” with white paws.

The man is described as being approximately 5’5″ tall, with gray/white hair, stubble beard. He was last seen wearing a black/dark blue hooded coat and blue jeans.

Police say the man left the residence in a smaller dark colored four door sedan.
