Vermont State Police say it is investigating a deadly crash Thursday on VT RT 12, Worcester Village Rd, that happened around 4:19 p.m.
Medical crews performed CPR on Kenneth Walker, 85, for several minutes with no results. Officials say he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation found Lewis Graham, 75, of Plainfield, was heading north on Rt 12, veered to the left, and went off the west side of the road. Police say Graham hit a tree, causing extensive damage to the car.
Officials say Graham was taken to CVH and treated for minor injuries. Police say witness statements indicate speed and impairment were not factors.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. Walker was taken to Burlington for an autopsy, to determine the exact cause of death. Local 22 & Local 44 will continue to bring you updates, as they become available.
