We started in the 40s & 50s Thursday morning. In fact, Saranac Lake beat everyone with a low of 38°! We had tons of sun all day with a bit of a breeze at times, but nearly all of us made it back into the 70s. Thursday night, quiet weather continues under mostly clear skies. A south wind will kick a little at 5-10mph but it'll be less windy than the afternoon. Lows will fall into the upper 40s & low to mid 50s.
Friday and Saturday, sunshine continues with highs in the low 80s and low humidity. The weather to the start the Champlain Valley Fair will be perfect! The doors open at 3pm Friday, it'll be sunny and 84°. Saturday will be nearly identical. If you remember last year, we started the fair with sun and highs barely in the 70s. This year will be much warmer, but still comfortable.
Sunday through Thursday, we'll have a small chance at hit or miss showers & thunderstorms each day. Not everyone sees them, don't cancel plans but you should be prepared for delays. While all that is going on, highs jump into the low to mid 80s and lows fall into the middle & upper 60s. It won't be oppressive, but it will be a little muggy again. Mother Nature just wants to remind us that we've still got about a month left of summer. The Autumnal Equinox is September 22.
The weekend, and fall, are in view!
