Goodbye 90s! Goodbye heat wave. We are kicking off the new season just a few days tardy. Look for seasonable weather and continued sunshine through the weekend ahead, with just one slight chance for a few showers.
Thursday brings a nearly steady temp between the upper 50s and near 70 degrees with a breezy northwest wind of 10-20 mph on the heels of last night’s cold front. Enjoy a mix of sun and clouds, heavy on the sunshine.
Tonight, mostly clear and chilly. That temp dips down to the low 40s and mid 30s, with some patchy frost possible across higher terrain.
Friday, mostly sunny and even cooler, upper 50s to near 60. Lighter north wind 5-10 mph. Friday night into Saturday, a weak atmospheric impulse scoots through the Adirondacks and into southern Vermont. Look for an uptick in cloud cover and a quick light shower.
By daybreak Saturday, however, we should be back to partly to mostly sunny skies with a fantastic weekend ahead. Low to mid 60s both days.
In the Tropics, Tropical Storm Maria and Hurricane Lee are spinning in the western Atlantic. Both turn away east from the US and bring some rough weather to the UK early next week. There is another area of interest the National Hurricane Center is watching for potential development near Florida.
Have an amazing day! Enjoy that cooler weather!
