Weather: Memorial Day Weekend Outlook (5/25/2018)

Friday night, scattered rain will be around, especially in northern New York, Vermont & New Hampshire. I don't see any soakers but pesky rain will be here for evening & overnight plans. The more south you are, you're dry and cloudy. Overnight lows will be very warm, we'll bottom out in the upper 50s & low 60s.

Over the weekend, rain returns. Showers have already started Friday night across the North Country and will drift south during the day Saturday; highs will be in the 70s. I don't see severe weather being an issue but a couple downpours and lightning flashes will be possible. Sunday, it appears there will be just an isolated chance for rain in eastern New York, Vermont & New Hampshire with scattered, potentially heavy rain more likely in western New York. Much of the Vermont City Marathon will be in the 60s under mostly cloudy skies. Good news runners! Rain will then spread east into Vermont & New Hampshire Sunday night & Monday. Monday, we're not expecting severe weather but the thunder threat isn't 0. On Memorial Day as you're dodging scattered showers, remember that if you're close enough to hear thunder, you're close enough to get struck by lightning. Monday's highs will be in the low 70s.

I hope you have a great weekend!
