Good morning! Happy Friday!
Friday gets kicked off with a few showers and plenty of valley fog. This afternoon brings strong to severe storms. In between, you guessed it, warm and muggy with more clouds than sun. Back to those thunderstorms for a minute, damaging wind gusts and small hail would be the biggest threats we’d face, with a focus on southern Vermont. It’s important to keep an eye and ear to the sky just about everywhere, though, with periods of heavy rain likely putting a damper on any late afternoon plans. The temp inches into the 80s today, after starting in the mid 60s, with a light south wind.
Tonight, rain tapers off under a mostly cloudy sky with lows again bottoming out in the 60s. The bumpy end to the work week yields a much quieter weekend with plenty to celebrate including lower relative humidity, slightly cooler temps and more sunshine. Saturday also brings along a slight chance for a brief, spot shower or thunderstorm; but more of us should stay dry than on Friday. Low 80s. Sunday, mostly sunny. Upper 70s to near 80 degrees.
Have a fabulous day!
