Hi everyone, after some snow Wednesday morning we all saw bright sunshine to end the day. Wednesday night though, we get cold again with lows around -5 to 5°, that includes the Champlain Valley! Burlington & Plattsburgh will be closer to 0°, mid slopes and mountains will drop well below 0°! In case you’re wondering, Burlington’s record low is -9° (1982), we won’t be anywhere close to that. Thursday and most of Friday are partly to mostly sunny with highs in the 20s on Thursday. Friday will get warmer (35-40°) ahead of our next batch of messiness. Expect rain and snow showers to start Friday night and continue through Saturday morning. The bulk of the heavy moisture will stay south of us but we’ll still have to dodge scattered light plain rain through Saturday evening. Highs will be in the middle & upper 30s. Saturday night, some light snow mixes back in with little to no accumulation.
Precipitation ends by Sunday morning while lows drop into the middle & upper 20s. Sunday is trending drier, and sunnier! That’s great news for the start of snowmobile season in Vermont. As of Wednesday night, we’re expecting partly to mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 30s. Have a blast! Our snowpack will take a hit and get softer thanks to the warmth and rain but we should be able to keep most of it. It could’ve been way worse.
Monday, scattered rain and snow showers return with highs in the mid 30s. We quiet down again Tuesday and Wednesday with highs around 30°.
The weekend is getting closer!
