Weather: Warmer Weekend (10/13/2017)

News
Planner for Saturday October 14 2017

Hi everyone, I hope you had a great Friday. We have watched clouds increase during the day but high school football should happen without any issues. There’s a small chance at an isolated shower here or there through Saturday morning but most stay dry. However, we’ll all be breezy with overnight gusts from the south near 10-20mph. Worried about frost? Don’t be. Lows will be running about 20-25° warmer than the last few nights, we’ll start the weekend in the upper 40s & low to mid 50s.

Over the weekend we’ll have a cold front stall in southern Canada. This will provide us with partly to mostly cloudy skies and isolated showers on Saturday, especially the more north you go in Vermont & New York. You’re not getting washed out but skies will be mostly gray and you’ll have to dodge light rain now and again, it’ll be more annoying than soaking. Despite clouds and isolated rain, highs on Saturday will get into the upper 60s & low 70s while south winds gust over 20mph. Sunday, the front sinks south and east dragging a line of rain and isolated thunder with it by late afternoon & early evening. Much of Sunday will be dry until the front gets here. Apart from that, Sunday will be a little windy too with south/southwest winds gusting near 30mph. That’s not great news for the foliage, we’ll likely see quite a bit of leaf drop.

Have a great weekend!
