Good morning! Happy hump day!
It’s a warm, wet, windy – and wild – Wednesday. Showers pivot in from western and central New York ahead of an approaching front. Rain will spread west to east throughout the day, with thickening clouds and a gusty south wind. Temps inch out of the 70s and into the low 80s. Periodic, brief downpours should be expected with a couple afternoon rumbles of thunder. Tonight, rain likely. Warm and muggy, near 70°.
Thursday, morning showers wrap up and move out, with clouds slowly breaking apart by the afternoon. A solid, welcome 0.5-1.5″ of rain falls with little to no flood threat thanks to antecedent dry soil conditions. Low 80s for a top temp with a light south wind. Thursday night is quiet and temps manage to slip into the 60s, but another round of scattered showers (plus a few stronger to possibly even severe thunderstorms) make for a busy Friday in the weather world. An additional 0.25″ of rain is in the cards. Low 80s.
By the weekend, a drier air mass meanders in with lower relative humidity values and slimmer rain chances. A mix of sun and clouds both days should be found overhead with just a long shot at a passing shower or thunderstorm. Low 80s both days. Muggier with higher rain chances again unfolding by Monday and Tuesday.
Have a marvelous day!
