Top-ranked Colchester hosted fellow Northern Division squad Post 91 on Thursday in Legion baseball.

The Cannons opened up the scoring with a hit from Justin Dattilio that sent two runners home. Cannons led 2-0.

The runs picked up from there. In the bottom of the fourth inning Colchester held a 5-0 lead after some more strong offense.

The Cannons ultimately shut out Post 91 by a final score of 8-0.

Colchester will travel to Montpelier on Friday with first pitch set for 5:30 p.m.

Post 91 will face South Burlington on Friday on the road. The game is set to begin at 5:30 p.m.
