Cornell goes back-to-back & Dragon takes late model win

Colin Cornell stood on the Thunder Road Victory Lane for the second straight week by taking another round of the Triple Crown Series at Passumpsic Bank Night on Friday. 17 year old Cornell held off Jason Woodard for the first place slot in the flying tiger series.

In the Late Models round, Milton native Scott Dragon won his third Late Model feature of the season. He originally started 13th in the main event and worked his way to the third spot behind Josh Masterson and Brendan Moodie. Dragon was able to hold off the other cars in the final 15 laps for his ninth career Late Model victory overall.

Thunder Road returns next week Thursday, July 18 at 6:30 p.m. for the 40th VP Racing Fuels Vermont Governor’s Cup.
