No. 1 Champlain Valley Union took down No. 10 Mount Mansfield and reached the promised land at Centennial Field on Saturday.

The Redhawks avenged a late-season loss to the Cougars that ruined an undefeated season, and held off MMU in a 5-2 victory.

The win marked the first championship for CVU since 2013, and this was the first appearance in the finals for the Cougars since they won it all in 2000.
