Vermont outfielder Corey DiLoreto picked up four RBIs as the Mountaineers topped the Sharks at Montpelier Recreation Field on Tuesday.
The Northeastern sophomore drove in two runs on a third-inning single, and picked up two more on a seventh-inning home run to seal the 6-2 win.
Mountaineers pitcher Ryan Murphy threw for seven innings and, even though he walked five and allowed four hits, his outing concluded with just one run allowed. Murphy also struck out nine in his second start of the year.
The win snapped a four-game skid for Vermont, now 3-5. Next up, the team travels to North Adams for a contest on Wednesday, June 19.
