Rain on June 14 treated the fans at Thunder Road to a Late Model double-feature on the first real “Thunder Thursday” on June 27.
The day began with a rare Late Model feature, and Scott Dragon (Milton, Vt.) picked up right where he left off to secure a second-straight win.
Sandwiched between the Late Model main events, Jamie (Wolcott, Vt.) David claimed his 12th career win in the Street Stock Division feature and Sam Caron (Milton, Vt.) took home his first ever win in the Flying Tigers.
The final event of the night was the second and final Late Model feature, and the winningest racer in Thunder Road history added to his impressive total.
Vermont Governor Phil Scott (Middlesex, Vt.) gained the lead on lap 35, and edged out Eric Chase for his 31st victory at “The Nation’s Site of Excitement.”
