Fair Haven baseball snaps championship drought

Sports

The Slaters took care of business at Centennial Field to top #1 Otter Valley and capture their first Division II state title since 1991.

#3 Fair Haven opened scoring in the third inning when outfielder Austin Beayon came home on a head-scratching call at home plate, and the Slaters scored two more on errors in the same inning.

Junior righty Aubrey Ramey was dominant on the mound, striking out ten in the 3-1 win.

The win marked the eighth all-time for Fair Haven, and the first ever loss for Otter Valley in the championship game.
