The Hurricanes prepare for the 2019 season

With only fifteen days until the high school football season officially kicks off the Hartford Hurricanes are putting in preseason work.

The Hurricanes suited up for two-a-day’s this week to get in shape for the season.

Hartford is coached by Matt Trombly, who is entering his fifth year as head coach and 16th on the Hurricanes staff. The division one squad took home its last state title in 2016.

The Hurricanes practiced drills all morning perfecting their plays on offense and defense. Hartford finished last season 5-4 overall. The 2018 season came to a close in the first round of the playoffs in a shutout loss to St. Johnsbury.

In the video above, you can hear from head coach Trombly and Quarterback Cole Jasmin.

A new season is only two weeks away, which means a clean slate for the Hurricanes. Hartford opens things up on Friday, Aug 30 at 7 p.m. hosting Rice Memorial.
