The Essex girls’ hockey team continued its stretch of offensive dominance against Burlington/Colchester in Leddy Ice Arena on Wednesday night.
The 5-0 victory marked the fourth-straight game in which the Hornets have scored four or more goals, and the second shutout in that span.
Senior defender Francesca Martin opened the scoring with a point shot in the second period, and came away with the eventual game-winner.
The second contest inside Leddy saw another shutout as the Colchester boys took down Milton 1-0.
Lakers sophomore forward Jake Baird snapped home a power play goal in the second period, and his score held up to give CHS the victory.
Colchester rose to 8-3-1 this season, while the struggling Yellow Jackets fell to 2-8.
