Essex boys’ lacrosse denied Rice Memorial a third-straight win on Thursday.

The Hornets raced out to a 4-0 lead, and kept pace to run away with a 14-6 victory.

EHS improved to 7-4 with the W, while Rice fell to 5-8.

In girls’ lacrosse, Stowe rallied past Colchester on the Lakers’ home field.

Raiders senior Sierra Anderson scored four goals as part of a 5-0 run to close the half, and Stowe took care of business in the second half to come away with a 12-8 win.
