In the bottom of the seventh inning Yerdel Vargas stepped up to the plate and drilled the ball towards center field, sending Jose Rivas home from second. The game was tied at 2-2.
In the same inning, Michael Woodworth knocked another hit up the center and sent Shane Selman and Yerdel Vargas home for the 4-2 lead over the Renegades.
Vermont kept Hudson Valley scoreless in the final two innings to take the 4-2 win and avoid the series sweep.
